Diagnostic Veterinary Clinical Pathologist

Phoenix Central Laboratory is seeking a diagnostic veterinary clinical pathologist to join our team. Owned by local veterinarian and employee shareholders, our laboratory is independent and service-oriented, not profit driven.  We have the flexibility to meet the individual needs of our clients and our employees.  Located in the Seattle WA metropolitan area, we are close to all the cultural and recreational pleasures of the Pacific Northwest. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. ACVP boarded or board eligible applicants are preferred. Senior management opportunities exist for the right candidates!

Medical Technologist/MLT

Phoenix Central Laboratory, a fast paced veterinary diagnostic laboratory located in south Everett, Washington, is seeking a Medical technologist/ MLT to work full-time on nights, including rotating Saturdays. 

This position performs assays accurately and timely on patients using state of the art analyzers and testing equipment, as well as some manual testing, to aid the veterinarian in patient diagnosis and treatment.  The MT/MLT maintains established departmental policies and procedures.

An MT/MLT certification or equivalent is required, and a minimum of 3 years experience is preferred.  Laboratory experience in hematology is desired.  Other preferred skills include:  sensitivity to confidential information: the ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written; the ability to learn and apply safety procedures; and, the ability to perform the physical requirements and essential functions of the job.

Microbiologist

 Phoenix Central Laboratory is seeking a clinical microbiologist to work in a high volume veterinary laboratory.  The qualifications required to fill this position are as follows:

  • Degree in Microbiology.

  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical microbiology experience preferred.

  • MT/MLT certification or equivalent

  • Ability to handle a high volume workload in a fast paced environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Computer skills: must be able to accurately and efficiently enter, print and proofread data  (clinical  reports)

  • Ability to cooperate with others as a member of a professional team

Full-time and part-time day shift, rotating weekends.
