Dr. Mesher is a native of Newfoundland, Canada. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree, he obtained his DVM from the University of Prince Edward Island in 1993. In 1996, he completed a three-year residency in diagnostic clinical pathology at Cornell and passed the ACVP clinical pathology board examination that same year. For more than a year Dr. Mesher worked with a private laboratory in New Zealand, expanding his experience in diagnostic veterinary medicine and consulting with veterinary clients. Dr. Mesher joined the Phoenix Central Laboratory consultant group in August 1998. His major areas of work interest are in cytology and hematology, particularly hematopoiesis. Outside of work, Dr. Mesher enjoys sports, especially basketball, and outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, and biking. |
