- Microscopic Description:
- No hemoparasites seen. Nucleated RBC's are metarubricytes and a few polychromatophilic rubricytes.
Occasional basophilic stippling noted. Slight to moderate hypochromatic with 1-2+ dacryocytes.
No toxic change.

Large arrows = Cabot's ring - Interpertation:
- Regenerative anemia. Neutrophilia with occasional band.
Cabot’s rings are found in red cells of healthy Camelidae. These thread-like rings and convolutions are thought to be artifacts representing denatured membrane protein.
