Ahmed attended the King Abulaziz University in Saudi Arabia where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. He then attended the University of Salford in England where he received a Master of Science degree in Physiology. Ahmed has also been involved in medical research concerning the effects of dexamethasone on the kidney at the University of Washington, as well as working as a hemodialysis technician at the Northwest Kidney Center.

Ahmed has worked at Phoenix for over 20 years as a medical technician. He has been involved in all laboratory departments and his hard work and extensive knowledge has earned him the respect of his co-workers and the promotion to Laboratory Supervisor. Ahmed is also a member of the Veterinary Laboratory Association (VLA) and the American Society for Veterinary Clinical Pathology (ASVCP).

In his position as Laboratory Supervisor, he oversees all aspects of the laboratory including personnel management, equipment use and maintenance and evaluation of new equipment and techniques. Ahmed’s extensive research background and education make him a very valuable resource for Phoenix Central Laboratory.

Ahmed and his wife have one child and enjoy international travel.
